PostSubject: Renown Changes   Wed Oct 24, 2012 12:55 am

As I've been at work all weekend (and sick - booo Sad ) I haven't had the chance to catch up on forums till today..

  1. Renown decay no longer takes guild size into account. This should ease the pressure for guild leaders to “kick” members from the guild to offset daily renown decay rates. Renown decay now only takes a guild’s level into consideration rather than its size.
  2. Renown ransack has been increased. Previously when a guild earned levels in a day, it would gradually reduce the renown drop rates. We’ve increased the rate so that a guild can only earn roughly 3 levels in a single day. This should prevent large guilds from completely dominating the field in terms of levels per-day.

Apparently this was put into effect on the 22nd. There's 16 pages to the thread, so I haven't read nearly all of it, but the gist of it seems to be a lessening in decay without having to kick the lurkers who only pop in every few weeks to say hi.

LOL James, it never stopped you before ^^

This is a really good change for the game and guilds! It's great to see the admin taking notice of the players' opinions. cat

Had a quick skim of the thread in question, and it looks like at our current lvl of 73 we'll be getting decay of around 14k, no matter how many active accounts we have. So I think this is great as it means ppl can pop on once a month for a bit of play and not affect the decay rate Very Happy

The guild renown bonus is still affected by the guild size though.

The admin has emphasized that this is something they are trying out and are open to other suggestions as well as feedback from guilds on the changes.
