I visited Italy years ago IG and honestly enjoyed being there (minus the constant being jailed thing haha), having them here IG in Ireland, I can't even express how excited I am!

Thought it would be cool to have a thread where our friends and us could help each other with our languages?/Pensato che sarebbe stato bello avere un thread in cui i nostri amici e ci potrebbero aiutare a vicenda con le nostre lingue?

Here's a list just off the top of my head that may help if ever you are in a tavern:

Benvenuti!/Welcome! Very Happy

Come va? = How are you?/What's up?
Grazie = Thank you (very much)
Bene Grazie = Good thank you
Ciao = Hello or Ciao Ciao = bye bye
Salute = Cheers/Slainte
Triste = awwa/sad
Sorriso = grin
Sorride = smile
Buonanotte = good night
a domani = tomorrow (see you tomorrow)
Buon giorno = Hello/Good morning/afternoon
Prego = you're welcome
Come sta? / Come stai? = How are you? (formal)
Mi dispiace = Sorry
A più tardi = See you later
Scusi / Scusa = Excuse me
Sto bene = I am fine/well
Si = Yes / No = No
Sei pazzo! = You're crazy! (hehe, si I got that a lot lol)
bello = beautiful (grazie Ippo!)
salutare = waves/goodbye
emozionato, eccitato = excited
*ronf* *ronf* = snoring
bentornata = welcome back

Here is a link that is useful: http://ielanguages.com/italian1.html

If there are any you would like to see added just post here!/Se ci sono vorreste vedere aggiunti solo post qui! Smile

When I was little by dad used to pinch my cheek and say "ooh... Cazzo..." I thought it was a term of endearment until one day I was messing around with a translator. Now I don't know what to think!

Donnor! gosh! haha! Very Happy Razz

When I was looking around about that word Ahlia, there's so many different sayings I found that sound similar to that word also, but nothing to do with endearments, also I found that cazzo could mean 'little'? Maybe I'm wrong, kinda bumfuzzled on that one too lol.
