My first idea is to have a separate category for flames.

It would be adult only, so people would have to agree before entering.

Everything that is split from other topics will go there. Nothing will be deleted, locked, or erased.

The parties involved, if they so wish to continue their online feud, can then use this place to finish what they started, or not. But the general public wont be subjected to the back and forth, unless they want to be.

We have already started this forum, in the Incinerator! pirat

You might have a separate area where people can rp getting married, Maybe a section also for people who make banners and things like that.

Just a thought that crossed my mind

A suggestion for a new signature size might be nice... maybe only 80 or 100 tall and maybe 800 wide. HappyHerder was mentioning the other forum had none and many people like the shorter vertical space used. Would really set this apart too!

Weddings and things can be RP'd under the RP section, and if Anto hasn't already, I'll throw up a thread for banners and such Wink

If you click "The Real RK" then scroll down to the bottomw, you'll find the RP areas

Aww, a banner rule would mean I would have to change my banner. I have not had to do that for over a year lol! That will sidetrack me from my global campaign to take over the world, and that would really not be on ...

And I seen the RP with the country names. I was thinking more of a invidual section for them because in time to post them in the sections of the country things will get cluttered and hard to find at time. When there are a lot more people on the forum.

lol I was thinking the same thing why mix them with the blood bath and the fun stuff. Not everyone wants to see someone making out well unless its with a sword and involves some blood then that would be interesting.

Outlaw, you're right! Thanks! Is this going to be a specific area *just* for weddings, or should we lump all the mushy lovey stuff together? I hear ya about weddings being mixed up with the Blood Oath, ugh!

Soo, any suggestions on what all the area should include, weddings, births, funerals?....need some feedback then I'll know exactly where to put it and what to call it.....

(don't get me wrong, I know funerals aren't mushy lovey stuff, but it seemed a fitting category to lump into that rp.....suggestions!!!!!)

Actually, I kinda like seeing all sorts of threads mixed in together. It makes for a balanced reflection of rp'd life. And a title can indicate the theme of the thread, which makes it easy enough to avoid if its not to your taste. If events are going to be separated into different forums rather than just use geographical dividers, okay, but let's not make it a rule - so that if players don't want to post their special event in a segregated area, they don't have to. Part of the failure of RK is the way things get separated out so characters end up not knowing what is going on in their local vicinity. It leads to a dead and stale environment.

What I'd love to see is a strong encouragement for people to rp stuff they felt they couldn't in RK because they were worried about players acting off ooc knowledge. This meant the towns and counties were essentially robbed of the richness and variety of life - whether clean living or down and dirty. A better rp culture can be encouraged and players can learn how to read something for the entertainment value and then 'forget' that knowledge when it comes to being in character.

Yes I think that weddings and births should be grouped together funerals I think would go along that lines also . I mean they are all about new beginning and endings. If we have a special area for all these items such as weddings, births and funeral then they will be easy for the people to find.

and maybe we could have a thread for announcements of any kind. That way the forum doesn't get cluttered with announcements of all different kinds. I used to hate going into the forum and looking around and there is announcements for births, christianing, weddings, engagements and all that stuff.

oh and here is a idea battles it would be awesome to have a area where people who bump heads can battle each other.

well i think it shouldn't be a option in some cases because it will clutter and run things together. When you get 500 people on here it will get really disorganized really quickly if you do not have certain areas for certain things. If you look at it in this way you don't always stay in the same place you met to get married.

and this way there is the area set aside that when you have that one year or one month anniversary you can go back and read it and smile. It is a memory to people not just another thread and that area will be for those special events

Bottom line, if there's a thread you don't want to use, leave it alone. lol. Second, I think making an area for weddings birth and funerals with separate threads for each is how we're going to do it because then when somebody is in the middle of a wedding, a funeral doesn't pop up. wouldn't that ruin your special day?

Just chiming in to say that I'd rather we not do this. It's an easier transition for people to be able to use the same banners they use in RK. And changing banner and avatar sizes creates a long queue for banner makers.

all good suggestions, but for now we'll stick with the usual banner sizes because they fit really well with this forum resolution, and lump together rp because right now we arent cluttered at all Smile

we can always make a new category 'war' and 'love' or whatever we wish, but right now it be good just to get the activity up Smile
