I need to craft the GS blank for my goggles! However I really don't know the Vale quests well at all, only run some of them once before to flag for shroud. If you can be a guide for these quests, I'd appreciate your help. Just say when you're available and I'll fit in ^^

I have the stones from two of the quests (let sleeping dust lie, and running with the devils) so they could be skipped, although I also need a bunch of twigs, pebbles, funk and fungus too >.<

Thanks!

I can guide for Sleeping Dust (since the placement of the books and keys is random every time lol) and am willing to run any others on my wizard. I could use the XP and mats for her anyway (have all the stones and am flagged on her so whatever you want to do is cool). I've run everything and hate a couple of them but I'll still tag along just for you Beth Smile

Thanks Jill ^^ My schedule is likely easier to adapt to your schedule, so just let me know when you're available.

Despite having done them all several times, I can't really guide for any of them other than sleeping dust, rainbow and the one with all the annoying air elemental things lol.

I'm hoping to get my cleric up to Vale level by Wednesday, if that's good for you...

Okay, I found a group today that ran the quests. Man, I ended up feeling like crap in coal chamber. A TR had joined the group after the group founders left (a lovely easy going greek couple), and was running ahead with ease, and the others were all familiar with the quest too. So I'm the gimp who's falling off the ledges and making everyone wait, missing chests and basically learning nothing about what is actually done in the quest to advance it. No fun. No one said anything but the silence was kinda deafening.

Do you guys think that Coal chamber is doable with a cleric? The mobs didn't seem that hard to take down. I think some time alone in there learning it may be what I need to do.

Anyhoo, I don't need to run these now BUT I'll be happy to if you still want to, Jill and Zog =) If you don't mind a gimpy fighter who falls off ledges with ye Very Happy I think the more I try to run these the better to get used to their particular quirks.

(On the plus side it only took two attempts to do the fiddly jump bit in Rainbow!)

coal chamber is one of the worst quests in the game because of all the mario jumping. dont sweat it Smile

i would run my monk with you thru there but i need the XP.. maybe bring my wizard, but idk that quest really well.

in all honesty i only ever run those vale quests once, and then i buy greensteel blanks because i dont like farming for ingredients or pie.. Razz

*grins*

Well I ran it again twice on casual to learn coal chamber with a pocket hireling and its a lot clearer what to do next when you get to hear the DMs instructions (which I often missed due to being behind everyone). Got the hang of using the air jets too, but I think I got lucky there. Pulled stones of victory each time despite being on casual, so I'll probably do that again next time I need one. Also pulled twigs rather than funk each time, so I must be twig girl. May be its time to change the avvie =p

I've run Coal twice the past few days.

Last time we accidentally left 1 alive in the ambush party before jumping back down to the shrine.

Went to finish the quest and got the chests, but alas, no XP popped.

Had to jump back down, go over to the other chamber and climb all the way back up to kill one monster.

16,000 XP made it worth it though hehe...

I may have cried if that had happened to me! Did you manage to get some funk in the end?

Yup - coal chamber is guaranteed to drop twigs or funk (I got funk).
