So after a valiant effort at doing this quest last night, I looked for some advice and got the following from the DDO wiki

Quote :
After the Horned Devil is dead, the Demons attack you. This is a moderately difficult fight as the Marelith can hit very hard. However she attacks very infrequently and can be DPS'd down very fast. Melee, Firewall or Blade Barriers all work fine, just ignore her trash mobs and beat her down quickly. If your group has a caster, hitting the trash mobs with Flesh to Stone can be a great idea to make the fight easier. Also note the spell: Waves of Exhaustion will greatly lower the Marilith's movement speed, making her much easier to run from and avoid death.

It seems the longer the fight goes on the more responsive the Marilith comes (attacking more often), so kill her fast to ensure victory.

Makes sense Smile

ranger + cold iron arrows + lit 2 bow + manyshot + running backwards in a circle for 10 mins while the rest of the party is dead = how to beat bastion on elite... Razz

when i was done, i had 0 SP left and 16 HP, but left quite a few people impressed, including myself... Laughing

Sounds like exactly the same process as New Invasion on normal...

I'm jealous of that elite, and in awe... I still need yugo favor and have the easy ones on elite already. Probably should start doing some of the others on hard, will have to see how much favor is needed and how many quests I'll need to run. Would love to have company if anyone else is interested (not sure when I'd be available yet).

Yugo pots are definitely worth it, although some are better than others! The best thing about them though, is that you can use them on your TR from level 1! I'm glad I got them for Giders and wouldn't mind getting them for Zog, but it's a grind... I've been avoiding those quests on Taykare because I hate A New Invasion so much!

Yea I was a part of that wipe with Zog

Bit hard to do much but hit with a monk.

I need to do this and Gen Point quiet bad so I can be flagged for TOD.

Also I need to kill the big Skel in the Sub.

Yea I know sucide or crap missions.

I will try and solo more of New Invasion. for my Monk necklace

Get flagged for TOD and you'll have your choice of ANY necklace/belt you want.

I'm willing to run Bastion anytime - get a good group together and I'm there.

I'm also willing to run Genesis Point, just make sure you have someone who knows the levers, because I don't. Laughing

Sins of Attrition - you're already flagged on that one, right?

And New Invasion - well... good thing you've got that one flagged... Laughing
