U13 has been released on lamma land and here are the release notes:

The new quest pack doesn't seem to be that exciting, although it is the precursor to the summer expansion pack..

Some interesting changes and some NERFS:

End rewards on many quest chains will offer all named items, when completed for the 3rd time and for every 3rd time after that. Mindsunder can offer named items in the same way and Dreaming dark will offer a random ioun stone in the same way.

Yea, not sure about this one either, the shaken thing will be annoying on my monk I think...

oh crap i didnt realize its morale bonus and wont stack with rage, what crap for my boots Sad


anyways, anyone on lamania? i am downloading it again and want to try the new quest on epic, and try to find the angle for farming hehe

I dont understand why there was a nerf to the madstone boots.

Were the hardcore casters whining about not being able to use them because of the prevention of spell casting, then the rest of the abilities were nerfed to balance that change?

Really is becoming increasingly shit playing a melee.

In light of this, just wasted a stormreaver seal upgrading Zillee's boots yesterday.

I think it means that when you TR, the tomes you used in the first life would be applied at the appropriate level once again, without you having to use additional tomes.

Well, not being able to spellcast also prevents clickies, so I'm for the change in that regard.

A shaken creature takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

Yeah, that kind of sucks, but for endgame toons, not really that big of a deal.

I'd rather be able to click my planar gird (11 minutes +4) and put up with 30 seconds of -2 (which is really a +2 difference).

However, if it doesn't stack with rage, then the whole point of being Madstoned is nullified.

Glad I read this - was about to waste a seal on Mistermiyagi's Madstones.

Rhankor will still be a brute without Madstones.

i think (and hope), with all the outcry on the forums against this change; that it probably wont go through. or it might go thru and then be reverted back.

is a really crappy change. rest of the update is solid, but no idea why they mess with the boots.
