I think I got it, except may be the twists of fate mechanism. Are they meaning you can short cut to another epic destiny (rather than follow the map to progress from one to another) using these twists of fate?

It's simple, (simply confusing)...

The thing with the twists of fate, as I read that, at level 3 of your epic destiny you get a twist of fate. At that time you can chose another destiny that links (follow the map to what connects) to the one you are on.
It almost sounds like you have to pick a second destiny, not sure on that.

You can save these "twists of fate" and upgrade them so as to be able to use a "higher ability?". To me that is you can use this ability or you can upgrade to a more powerful one.

One of the things that appeals to me, if I read that right, you can have for example a straight rogue (say Dark) and pick a wizard epic destiny. You don't have to jump into an epic based on what your current class/es is/are.

of course I could be completely wrong about this (probably am)
